Speech Language Pathologist

We are a small private practice seeking full-time Speech Language Pathologist. We have two locations - one in Portland and another in Canby, OR. This position would primarily be at the Portland clinic but some hours may be at the Canby location, seeing all ages but focusing on pediatrics.  We are a rapidly growing clinic so come grow with us!

Pediatric caseload largely consists of speech, language, social/pragmatic disorders, autism, Oromyofunctional Disorders.

Adult caseload consists mostly of aphasia, dysarthria, executive functioning, dysphagia, Oromyofunctional Disorders.

Sessions are in-person at the clinic and teletherapy.

Job Requirements:

  • Provide direct therapy services and evaluations

  • Communicate/collaborate with medical professionals and parents

Education: Masters Degree.

Licensure/Certification:

  • Current applicable (OR) state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) required.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech and Hearing Association.

  • CPR certification recommended.

 

Skill Requirements:

  • Exceptional verbal and written skills.

  • Demonstrates competency to set own schedule, work independently.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Ability to perform bilingual services a plus (increased pay rate)

Occupational Therapist

We are a growing private practice seeking another Occupational Therapist. This position would be mainly at our (NEW!) Beaverton location, close to Washington Square, with a day in our NE PDX clinic.

 

Opportunities to add to your experience include: being part of an Autism Interdisciplinary Evaluation team, collaborating with SLPs and Mental Health professionals, work directly with the families of clients to make faster progress toward goals, and work with a variety of diagnoses.

 

Pediatric caseload largely consists of sensory needs, ADHD, autism, variety of diagnoses.

Client Care Coordinator

Sunbreak Therapy Services is expanding and we need another Client Care Coordinator to work mainly at our NE Portland location! This is an exciting position in a fun and dynamic multi-disciplinary practice (Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health services). This position is mostly receptionist/scheduler and assisting our Billing Specialist IN THE OFFICE. This is NOT a remote position.

The Client Care Coordinator will act as receptionist and scheduler for our growing business. Some of the duties include meeting and greeting patients promptly and courteously and directing them as appropriate; scheduling new and return patient appointments, assisting therapists in various tasks.

Our ideal candidate would demonstrate and show world class customer service and have a high level of skill with Intake paperwork & scheduling. We are a fast growing practice so they will be very skillful at prioritizing tasks and getting on the job training. Job Description:

Intake paperwork & scheduling: Sends out new patient information, procures necessary records from referring physicians, verifies up-to-date registration of all new and return patients. Makes copies of insurance cards and authorizations.

Maintains daily schedules, pulls and prepares records daily, and checks all referrals. Create and file client charts. Make confirmation calls of upcoming appointments.

 

Customer Service: Provide high quality customer service to clients and families that meets or exceeds the service standards of the health care industry. This duty includes prompt and professional communication efforts, face-to-face customer contact skills, and flexibility.

 

Duties include:

  • Scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, collecting co-payments and past due balances when indicated; providing patients with appropriate receipts; performing end of day duties, billing insurances.

  • Ensures work area and waiting rooms are neat, organized and well maintained for patients and visitors.

  • Assists therapists in maintaining rooms, preparing for patients, and miscellaneous projects as directed.

  • Assists Billing Specialist in assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1 year Medical Clinic Experience

  • 2 years experience in Medical Insurance billing preferred (1 year required)

  • Knowledge of insurance billing procedures and CPT/ICD-10 codes

  • Excellent customer service, organizational skills, and attention to detail

  • Collection experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clinic Experience, basic computer keyboarding skills including typing of 30 - 45 wpm.

  • Proficiency with Google Drive and MS Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

  • Previous work experience with on-line scheduling.

  • Knowledge of medical insurance, authorizations, and referrals.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities;

  • Proven customer relations experience.

  • Strong relationship building skills with patients, health plans, providers, staff, management; exceptional customer service skills, both in person and on the phone

  • exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicts and to problem solve between parties.

  • Demonstrated evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently;

  • willingness to serve as a positive and professional role model.

  • Must have demonstrated record of reliable attendance, punctuality and proven successful performance in past and present.​

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
